The lens does a fair job of taking wider shots, and makes it easier to film a group of people indoors such as at a birthday party. That is a typical situation where I would use the lens.
I thought the view would be even wider than it is, but then again it is not a fish-eye lens.
I was surprised at how much curvature there is at the edges. You can really notice it at when the corner of a room is at the left or right edge of the frame. I don’t know if that effect is minimized on expensive lenses. Maybe that is the difference between this lens and one costing 5x as much. That is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars.
Overall, I am pleased and I feel that it was a good value.
