I purchased this lens to be able to video in close quarters . Yesterday I used it to film a wedding with mixed results using this lens. I am not a happy camper.
The tech details state that:
1. “Widest angle possible with NO distortion”.
This is not true, there is definite distortion at the outer edge.
2.”10 year USA warranty. Made in Japan”.
This lens is made in China. It is cheap and overpriced. You can get a comparable one for less than $20 elsewhere.
I addressed these issues with Bluenook. They where kind and refunded some of my money. The reason I am writing this is because they have not changed or updated their listing on Amazon or on their website with a honest description.
Their Ads also can give you the impression that this is a “SONY” product.
Definitely not SONY quality. I would not recommend this product, especially at this price.
